In honor of my late mom, the 2013 'Judy' Vin Gris Rosé is comprised of four bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Franc (40%); Merlot (40%); 15% Cabernet Sauvignon; and 5% Petit Verdot. The juice was 'bled' from each of the lots within the first twenty-four hours after de-stemming to allow for just enough skin contact to achieve the beautiful 'raspberry' color and lush mouthfeel in the final blend. Each of the varietals was fermented separately, then blended back together. The result is a dry rosé that is lush and layered with powerful aromas of fruit and wildflower, along with notes of strawberry, raspberry, and honey. The wine has balanced acidity with a complex, long-lasting finish to be enjoyed slightly chilled. Perfect for those warm weather days.
