The 2011 Cabernet Franc, Silvaspoons Vineyards is a noticeably different presentation of the same block of the vineyard as its predecessor, however, this vintage benefitted from longer hang-time as a result of a cooler growing season, resulting in a deeply structured, powerfully aromatic wine possessing a silky, smooth finish that lingers long after tasting. A true Cab Franc, in every sense.  More Information ...

To put it simply, We're on a mission ... to make big, flavorful wines that most express time and place. We love the challenges Cabernet Franc presents, but we really enjoy all of the flavors and aromas that are unique to this all-to-often overlooked 'blender' that other wineries will use to bring structure and aroma to their flagship brands. We, on the other hand, indulge in presenting it to you on its own to allow it shine and to provide you with an experience to share

with your friends and family. So, if you a love Cabernet Franc, then you've come to the right place. We source the highest quality grapes that are most reflective of the areas where they're grown rather than winemaking techniques, or industry gimmicks. We embrace the garagiste mentality of complete freedom. The freedom to produce wines that closely mirror the renegade spirit of the artisan winemaker focused on making the best wines they can, instead of making wines that sell more than anyone else.

This Cabernet Franc was sourced from grapes grown in the famed Sonoma County Russian River Valley AVA, sustainably farmed by Betsy and Bill Nachbaur of Alegria Vineyards. The cooler climate in the area contributes to longer hangtime and results in wines that are deeper in structure and flavor than grapes grown in warmer climates. Typically these grapes are harvested in late-October to early-November in order to acheive maximum ripeness.  More Information ...
